Certified Body Repair Prices Are Outrageous

I got my corner repaired at Rivian service center today, with their local PDR guy doing the work. Was told he does this repair all the time so you know it will save a lot of time and trouble. Afterwards their "detailer" (probably whatever kid washes the cars) touched up the paint. Amazingly, Rivian only charged me $240. Dents are definitely an improvement. I think I can touch up the paint better soon. They told me he drills a hole to the left of the tailgate for access. Here's the before/after:

I just received the first estimate. This does not involve replacing the panel.

Looks like we went to the same place in Houston (or perhaps they all use the same software to generate estimates and have the same labor rates)

I was in a bit of a different boat since insurance was footing the bill for a rear-end collision for which I was not at fault, but I will say the shop did a great job in the end. It just took 5+ months from initial estimate to driving away with my R1S in near-perfect condition...

This very real and huge monetary issue is my number one concern/complaint of owning a Rivian. My insurance is insanely expensive and I'm absolutely terrified to get a minor scratch on this thing.

How much is "insanely" expensive?

I have State Farm, my 6 month premium was $424 last time I paid in April.
