Since updating to 50.01, my charging door will not open via fender sensor. Open/closes normally with center screen. Tried the full reset and sleeping the truck for 30min.

anyone else experiencing this?….any fix?

Did you make sure car wash mode is off?

I had this yesterday, but it was while I was on the road in a snowstorm/10-degree weather. I couldn't get the door to open from the fender sensor, but it opened from the center screen. This happened to me twice at DCFC stations.

When I got home (storm was over and slightly warmer temps) it opened normally from the fender sensor. So for me, I'm attributing this to weather more than the update, could that also be it in your case?

It appears to be the case for me as well. Last winter, I didn’t have any issues. This week was the first big snowfall this year…now it works again. Maybe a software tweak somewhere along the way to prevent false openings. IDK.

I had a similar hiccup with mine.

Try this: Disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes, then reconnect and give it a go. Sometimes a good ol' reboot does wonders. If that doesn't do the trick, maybe check the sensor alignment or clean it for any dirt or debris.

Same here, I had problems right after the update, never before. I chalked it off to cold weather (e.g. iced over sensor?). Not sure if it has gotten better or I have gotten better putting my hand closer to the sensor. Anyway, it worked fine the last few times, but reading these posts, I do think the update has something to do with it. Not sure if I would disconnect the battery just yet, maybe try a restart from the steering wheel buttons first. There is section in the manual for "soft" and "hard" reboot, although not sure if this is just for the entertainment software or the whole operating system.

There are at least two other threads on this. To summarize: Most think this was due to the last update, and a soft reboot fixes it. Other think it is related to temperature, moisture or dirt, some report that wiping the sensor down helps.
