The North side is out of the way. Not a great choice as far as location.
I don't know; as someone who road trips through there pretty often, it's convenient for anyone driving 85, 77, or any combination of the two.

In North Carolina they absolutely do since the state congress passed a law forbidding auto manufacturers from building repair centers.
"State Congress" is not a thing.

A member of Congress goes to work in Washington DC and has zero to do with dealership regs.

Are you really being so pedantic as to suggest that the North Carolina General Assembly, comprised of a state Senate and state House of Representatives, is not a "congress"? Yes, to be super precise, the other person's posts should have said "the NC General Assembly" and "state Representatives and Senators", but both of those require more typing, and I'm sure people can understand what the poster meant.

Yes.

Blaming Congress for something that is 100% outside their purview (as the original post did) is completely unhelpful in terms of actually getting anything done.

The North Carolina General Assembly is just that; it's not Congress. It's not a Congress.

No one calls it that, and if you walk into the capitol in Raleigh talking about "Congress", you'll be pointed in the direction of Washington - not taken seriously as an advocate.

I emailed my Guide about when the grand opening of the Charlotte RAN, and below is her response.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. Thank you so much for reaching out to us about the Rivian charging station in the works in Charlotte, NC. I'm happy to hear from you again and I hope you and your family are doing well and that you're still loving your R1T.

We are excited to be opening one of our charging stations in Charlotte, NC, in the near future. We have not yet announced the opening date. Once we have this information available we will send invitations to any opening day ceremonies. I don't have visibility into how these invitations are distributed, however, I'm happy to share your details with our teams to express your interest in attending.

You've been a long-time supporter so it would be great to have you join us. I sincerely appreciate you reaching out to us about this opening.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else, please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for your continued support, Russ. Have a wonderful day!

Comment: I hope this does not happen while I am on vacation "unplugged" without an internet connection.
