Child Lock Won’t Disengage

I ended up having to take mine into the service center to have the issue resolved. ?. It was a quick fix once I was there (20 min) but I did have to wait a week or so to get into the service center. Again, completely unacceptable that these vehicles are being sent off the parking lots without all doors being tested from the inside and out.

... and you didn't monitor closely and report back with the fix! Now everyone else will have to leave their window down and exit Dukes Of Hazard style.

We tested all mine before I even left the parking lot for the first time. Guess it just depends how thorough your delivery person is. ?

That said -- what was the fix? Please update thread so others aren't left guessing, LOL. ?

Likely the control rod disconnected for the inside handle. Probably have to pull the door panel off and reconnect it if one of the clips wasn't fully secured at the factory.

They took it into the service center so I don’t know what they did to fix it. Clearly the door handle was not engaging the actual part of the door that keeps it from opening/closing.

Been on the phone with them trying to expedite my appointment. January is ridiculous. Yesterday customer service had me reset the car which obviously I knew wouldn't do anything but did it anyways since they kept insisting on it. Also realized yesterday that the same door's window won't function from the back buttons. Only works if I lower it with the driver's door button. ?

My 4 day old R1S is now having this issue. The back right door won’t open from the inside but this is after it was working for 4 days. Waiting to hear back from Rivian. This issue is still happening!!! So frustrating!!!
