Based on a photo I snagged off a tesla post, it seems like these chargers are more centered, and hopefully with longer cords, so we only need one space.

They're magic dock as well. I'll definitely test this one out in the next week or two to confirm.

V4 posts/stalls are a good thing and all the V4s will supposedly have Magic Dock, so no adapter needed. We still haven't seen any sort of V4 power cabinets though, so same performance as the V3 hardware, just easier to plug in and not take up two spots. Curious whether or not the redesigned cables will work better with our trucks that can hold high-current for longer than many of the Teslas do.

Well, this is a first.
My wife and I were taking our off-road coffee adventure from Monument to Woodland Park on Mt Herman Rd.
A semi with a full size trailer was stuck on the road, 5 or so miles in at about the 9000' elevation level, after realizing that a narrow dirt road with wall of rock on one side, and 300' drop off on the other, plus washouts and boulders, and tight switchbacks, is not suited for a semi.
For us, it required a white knuckle backing down the road for about 3/4 of a mile to find a section wide enough to turn around.
I can only imagine that the excuse will be "I was just following my map app."
Coffee will have to wait for another day.

FYI, for anyone trying to schedule a service appointment at the Denver service center I just tried to schedule something and it told me there are zero appointments and then I could call for more times. I knew they were booking out but that’s a first for me…?

That’s how I feel about my suspension sounds…getting worse and more annoying…love the truck but the suspension ticking and clicking and tocking is a miss.

Had a great time at the Electrify Expo Denver last Saturday, and meeting a bunch of Rivian owners. It was also great to see the R2 in person.
Thank you to Rivian and the Rocky Mountain Rivian Club for hosting the pre-event "Rivians and Roast". Pastries always taste better when served out of a frunk.

How is Green River an A? Charged here twice in the past 4 days. Both times it’s taken at least 3 attempts to find a station that will charge without derating to 40 kw. EA is so frustrating. Worst stop of a round trip Denver to San Diego trip. I default to Tesla now - they’re not perfect either, but I never get derated below 100. Wish they’d upgrade their Green River station to version 3.

You want Tesla to install a new site, not expand an existing v2 site.

To my knowledge, when Tesla expands existing v2 sites with new hardware, they add new v3 pedestals to the site leaving the existing v2 hardware in place. In addition, I'm not aware of a single site that has both v2 and v3 Supercharger stalls which is open to other vendors (Rivian, Ford, etc...). This is done to avoid confusion on why one charging stall wouldn't work at a site with your Rivian, but the one right next to it would.

Semantics - however it happens, I want access to Tesla charging in Green River. I'm pretty sure Beaver, UT has v2 and v3, and it's open to Rivian. I charged my R1S there on Monday.

Green River EA charging score has fallen to a B now. This is the second time I’ve observed a charging score fall after having trouble at a station. Cool to see the rating system in action.

In the case of Beaver, UT, I would agree that it's really semantics.

Technically, Beaver, UT has two Supercharger locations. They happen to be in the same parking lot, but they are separate sites. That's the closest I've seen two unique Tesla sites. There are many within 1/4 mile or even bordering properties, but I don't think I've seen two separate sites listed in the same parking lot at the same host site. The two sites are listed separately on the https://tesla.com/findus web page. The difference may be down to if the old/new stations are plugged into the same utility transformer, not that this matters to the end user.

Having never owned a Tesla, the only reason I even knew about the V2's in that lot was the Out of Spec Race to Vegas video. You of course can't see there's two sites there if you only have a Rivian registered to their app (I guess Rivian GPS would show me, but I have non-compatible filtered out). The GPS does direct you to the far bank, but I think this could definitely cause confusion as I would assume it's all one site. The way this site is set up is something I could see for the Green River site in the future - but definitely far from an expert in the ways of Tesla. It's just EA that makes me a bigger Tesla fan with every road trip I take.

I’m at Copper Mountain today. At least two chargers are operational. However you WILL need your NACS adapter. While these are equipped with Magic Docks, they don’t appear to be operational yet.

I’m headed to a trail near Vail, so I’m topping off from 50% to 80%. It started charging at just under 200kW but dropped to 81kW as got close to 80%. This was without any battery prep because the station doesn’t shower up in Rivian’s NAV and we can’t MANUALLY START BATTERY PREP! Looking at you Rivian Devs.
