Greetings from CO. I just watched a YouTube video of a couple who damaged their AWD Sprinter while off-roading in rural OR and had to be towed 130 miles to the closest MB repair shop in Bend OR after a local repair shop told them they didn't have the ability to make the repair.
This got me to thinking about how this situation would be addressed when driving a Rivian. I know the Rivian website talks about roadside assistance and mobile repair in addition to the service centers, but I have to wonder how robust this infrastructure is.
Has anyone run into a situation in which their Rivian was disabled when far from a Service Center?
Has anyone attempted to have their disabled Rivian serviced by a non-Rivian shop just so they could continue on their journey?
Is anyone else concerned about this issue when they contemplate taking their Rivian on a road trip to remote areas?
