Connect+ question

I ended up signing up for the connect+ as I did not see the point or that it would be “useful” to me…..until I could not use my Spotify.

One reason I was not going to sign up was that I could not connect to Wi-Fi it would default to my building’s guest Wi-Fi setting. There are no instructions online Or in the manual. The service/chat rep suggested that I reset the car (I did) and wifi the same. In manage Wi-Fi, I saw 2 in the trash one named Riv???

Is there anything specific I have to do? I have an email in to Rivian as the service rep kept looking up what to do leading me to think perhaps he is as clueless as me???? Thanks!

Not sure what the question is. Is it connecting to wifi?

When tapping on the wifi icon you should be able to see available networks, then you can choose what network you want to connect to.

So connect+ just “connects” to any available open network? It does not create a vehicle specific Wi-Fi network?

No. Connect+ uses LTE (cellular) for data. It doesn't need to connect to Wi-Fi.

You can then create a hotspot from the vehicle that you can connect other devices to, sharing that LTE data.

Create a hotspot on you phone and connect to that Wifi's name with your car. You will use your own cellphone and your cars Spotify to make it work.
