Do you pay for the extra HD Amazon music? I have that service for my home Denon receiver on my B&W speakers, and I have been happy with the HD bitrate through Amazon. (I don't have my Riv yet and I don't know how that HD Amazon music applies through Alexa.)
I do. There is no indication of quality (like Ultra HD or Atmos) in the truck, but comparing identical songs through Spotify on 'Very High' and Amazon Music through Alexa, Amazon Music is the clear winner.

Thank you! That tid-bit of info is worthy of a thread of its own on your part--"Music Quality, Comparing Spotify "very high" to Amazon Ultra HD through Alexa."

I made a contribution to Mapbox on July 5 and received an email notification today letting me know that "Your change has been reviewed and approved. You will be able to see your changes on the Map within 14 days."

So that sounds promising, I'll see later if it made a difference.
Did it ever make it to the truck?

I can't speak for @johnmcgrann , but my edits have been approved for months, and there have been two major software updates to the truck since then. My edits do not show in the onboard nav.

I've made a few changes recently and have been wondering what is the cause of delay.

When I updated the GPS coordinates of our house and the street routing (relocating a median in the Maps to reflect reality). I just edited OSM directly and both of these were reflected in the truck within days (didn't see if immediate or a waiting period).

Though any POI edits I've made in the past month have never synced to the truck leading me to believe that there is a separate sync delay on POI / directory info and routing information (which with constructions, etc can change more frequently than business entities maybe?)

Most likely rivian hosts their own tile server and data files.

This means they download the huge ass file of hundreds of GB, and feed it to the truck on demand.

They've probably got lazy about updating it.
