Custom Wraps - Anyone Considering?

Hello Rivian Forums community!

It has taken me a while to hop on here! I am @rivianmom on Instagram for those of you that follow me there. My husband and I are proud owners of a LE R1T delivered 3/22/22 and a LE R1S TBA.

Anyone else considering custom wraps? I ONLY want the wrap options for my R1S that we have seen on the pre-production models. Yep, picky over here.

I have told my guide that I am very interested in this option but I am getting the same response “the wraps are for Rivian’s pre-production models only right now…” Locally, here is Kansas City, there are wrap companies but they offer pretty much solid options with some glitter/chameleon additions and I am not interested in this. I want the patterned wraps, especially the one seen here in the post.

Welcome aboard! Certainly have seen you from various videos/stories. Haven't seen those wraps to be an option but if you have a local detailing shop/wrap shop I would simply just see what they can offer. It is super unique so might be a custom printed option only but its very possible.

I'm pretty sure wraps can literally be anything. Rivian will be offering these—I'm going to go out on a limb and say—never. But you can get in touch in a local or regional shop and create your heart's content until your heart's content.

Welcome! Rivian had announced at one point they wanted to offer factory wraps as an option, but I haven’t seen anything else about it since. Like the rest of us, they probably were forced into “pandemic mode” and realized all they could focus on was the basics for now.

That being said there are shops in most cities now that can wrap pretty much any vehicle. It’s a huge business now just for commercial vehicles which are usually wrapped instead of getting custom paint jobs. I know at every large car show I go to there is at least one vendor selling this as a service. Hell, you can even get this service from a Fastsigns franchise.

I am certainly not waiting around for the R1S to be approved by rivian for a wrap. Our delivery window is March-April THIS YEAR….happy to have my husband’s R1T but Momma needs hers. ?
I will look into custom wrapping, just wish we had lots of options for companies that do this A LOT here in KC.

We are an energetic group of smart asses around here for sure! The good thing about going with an aftermarket vendor is that you will probably be the only one who ever gets that specific wrap on a Rivian, making it very custom and cool… unless you are this person:
