Some cyber designs age faster than others:

I would rather drive your cybertoaster than the cybertruck. Plus I would always have delicious snacks on board!
Mmmmmm … toast!

Why do I feel that’s what I will look like after retiring to Florida and playing pickle ball 24/7….hell yes, I’ll exit whatever damn vehicle I want! (Golf cart included).
I've been told by more than one person that if I 'devolved' back into homo erectus, he is precisely how I'd look.

That can’t be a good option since we were all told many, many times that…

range is king.

Apologies to anyone reading this who hasn’t been here long-term. Consider yourself lucky for missing the craziness.

Q4 Tesla call is taking Cybertruck pressure off Rivian so ramp up can be even slower than we hope. It sounds like CT has the lowest priority for Tesla. Elon sounded very uncertain about If and When of CT.

He also mentioned working through issues with the cost of the CyberTruck.

Completely goes against the idea that the origami design is cheaper to manufacture. So now people are going to be expected to pay a premium over other EV trucks?

calm down people. just cause you don't like the looks doesn't make it an objectively ugly vehicle. lets not forgot design is subjective. there are people who think the R1T is ugly and the Lighting is gorgeous.

You know, I have owned a couple of Tesla's, support the mission and all, but the cynical side of me can't help thinking that the Cybertruck will never be produced, and Elon used it as a ruse to gin up support for the company and the stock, or as a distraction.

I think he understand the huge part of the attraction was the value proposition. My read was that if he can't deliver on the value (which it seems like he can't) what is the rush. No one else is producing BEV trucks in any meaningful numbers yet and companies that are talking about $40K trucks are mostly just talking. F150 Pro was sold out before anyone got to order and I believe Silverado worktruck when I see it.

On the other hand other companies have started selling BEVs with the same functionality as Y and 3. In other words CT reservation holders are not going anywhere but 3, Y customers may. So they get all the love for the high margins they provide for less batteries. Business is not about being nice and it is not about saving the planet. It is all about Money and I don't think we should get upset why they don't take our money, we should be happy we are still in possession of it and we can decide what else we can do with it.

I only have one side and that is the cynical side but I think he was sincere when it was announced. It is just that he may not have as much foresight as everyone gives him credit for. And to be fair he always did say prototype is only 1% of the difficulty.

At this point , Rivian and an ICE truck seem to be the most realistic possibility for me. If I wait for Rivian and my 23 Q1 window get delayed, that makes Silverado a possibility too. I will get my CT deposit back when I buy something. What I have learned from all these deposits is that getting in line does not make sense for me. A person that decides they want a Max pack in second half of 23 and the one that decided they wanted one at the reveal will get theirs not that far apart. And the late comer probably will get a few less bugs.
