Thanks! We like the Decked product, but agree with what many folks here have said - for most people, it's not the best solution for the R1T.I'd go with the Thunderbolt Gear Slide over this. It's more flexible for different use cases. It also allows for access to the spare.
I have the TB gear sled. It has been great and someday I'll remember to take some pictures. If I need waterproof I have pelican bx50 and bx80 cases that I got for crazy black friday $100 deal last year which are taller than decked. When I dont they are removed and kids catching gear etc is nice and easy to remove.I'd go with the Thunderbolt Gear Slide over this. It's more flexible for different use cases. I’ve found that small children work better than a boat hook.Looks cool but I'd never use it. So who makes a decent boat hook I can buy?
Pretty sure you get in trouble for just tossing them back under the tonneau and walking away after you get what you need.I’ve found that small children work better than a boat hook.
Good idea. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I don't have small children anymore. And asking teenagers to do anything is like the end of the world for them.I’ve found that small children work better than a boat hook.
And our teenager is now well over 6 feet tall, so he doesn't really fit in those tight spaces anymoreGood idea. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I don't have small children anymore. And asking teenagers to do anything is like the end of the world for them.
That's pretty sweet, but there are MUCH more affordable options if you are just looking to create a flat surface with storage underneath. E.g. Go Fast Campers makes a bed system that provides a platform while leaving space below for removable totes, etc. It's obviously not quite as schnazzy, but at $1400 less, I'd say the $ per utility ratio is much more appealing.I can totally see uses for it but maybe not for $1600. First thing that comes to mind is if you have something mounted over the bed and want access to gear in the back. No need to take everything else out.
