I'd go with the Thunderbolt Gear Slide over this. It's more flexible for different use cases. It also allows for access to the spare.
Thanks! We like the Decked product, but agree with what many folks here have said - for most people, it's not the best solution for the R1T.

I have the TB gear sled. It has been great and someday I'll remember to take some pictures. If I need waterproof I have pelican bx50 and bx80 cases that I got for crazy black friday $100 deal last year which are taller than decked. When I dont they are removed and kids catching gear etc is nice and easy to remove.

Great to hear our product is working well for you! Would love to see photos when you get a chance to take those pictures!

I had a Decked in a Tacoma and a Ram 2500. It sucked in the Tacoma, the bed was already small and shallow and the Decked is an extremely inefficient use of space. In the full size truck it was so bad as I still had a midsized truck worth of bed space above the Decked to work with and two waterproof relatively secure storage drawers. Putting one in a Rivian not only removes all the utility of the truck bed but also means you effectively don’t have a spare tire.

Good idea. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I don't have small children anymore. And asking teenagers to do anything is like the end of the world for them.
And our teenager is now well over 6 feet tall, so he doesn't really fit in those tight spaces anymore 🤪

I can totally see uses for it but maybe not for $1600. First thing that comes to mind is if you have something mounted over the bed and want access to gear in the back. No need to take everything else out.
That's pretty sweet, but there are MUCH more affordable options if you are just looking to create a flat surface with storage underneath. E.g. Go Fast Campers makes a bed system that provides a platform while leaving space below for removable totes, etc. It's obviously not quite as schnazzy, but at $1400 less, I'd say the $ per utility ratio is much more appealing.
