I'm usually in the 1st week of an update release, and today as of 10/25/2023, I still haven't gotten any notification to update.
I am wondering if there are issues with this update and if RIVIAN has delayed doing a full push to all the vehicles.
Can you confirm if you have gotten your update yet?

p.s. I have allowed for you to change your answer in the poll so you can update it once your update comes in.

Yes, but my truck’s at the local SC for repair, so I haven’t played with it yet.

Same here....Brought it in last Friday (10/20), and I don't think I'll be able to experience Halloween mode this year. The El Segundo service center is so backed up!

I dropped mine off on 10/17 at the same SC. What are you in for?

Roll out varies so just because you have been in the first week before doesn’t mean you will for future releases.

I think they may have paused updates until they push out the 2023.38.1 hotfix. As far as I know, the only issue is some missing features for Dual Motors, but it may still be paused.

For reference, here's stats of the update rollout. Sample size is whoever's signed up on Electrafi (about 250 people).

Here is a little bigger sample size (237 R1Ts that are letting Electrifi pull data) to give you some context. The large curve was at initial release and it seems to be down to a couple a day, but I would venture to say a portion of that is some people waiting to make sure there are no issues before installing the latest OTA, etc.

Okay guys. I have some news.
After seeing the numbers on this poll it was obvious I was in the very small minority. Which didn't make sense. I know full well that you cannot force fetch an update. But I found out what the problem was and I fixed it.

It occured to me that the RIVIAN is obviously trying to use my Wifi connection to download the update. I check Wifi and it said "Connected". So I disconnected from wifi by turning off the toggle switch and then turned it back on. I happened to have the update screen in the background and I noticed that for a fraction of a second the 38 update flashed on the screen and then disappeared !!!

I knew I was up to something. Annnd, the truck started having issues connecting to the same wifi again. Very strange. So I did a hard reset on the truck, and that didn't help. But it was obvious that for whatever reason the truck has started to dislike my main wifi in the house. So rather than fight it, I deleted all the wifi save connections and I had it connect to the guest wifi, which is basically the same network different ssid. Nothing happened immediately, but I figured if it's now downloading the update, it would likely be a couple of hours before it works. And guess what, about 90 minutes later, my update was available to install.

I'm now updated to 38 and changed my vote above.

What I would recommend to the few people who are stuck (@Woogie11 and @Delivery Purgatory):
  • Delete your Wifi connections from the truck and re-add them
  • Try a different wifi altogether
  • Give it a few hours to download again
  • Maybe go ahead and perform a full reset first just in case

I will post this as a separate thread because I feel like it needs to be more searchable. I'm 100% confident this was my problem.

Rattle in the dash (2nd time), and alignment with the headlights after they swapped out the passenger headlight during the previous visit. What about yourselt? Have you gotten your car back yet since it's almost been 10 days?

Ahh. Mine’s an internal trim piece around a passenger door needing to be replaced, and a ticking sound coming from the rear drive unit. They believe that re-oiling the latter will fix it, and hopefully doesn’t need replacement.

Yeah, it’s been like 10 days, and they haven’t even started on it yet. It’s been parked on their lot since I dropped it off.
