Difficult dealing with Rivian Service

Requesting a getting service through the Rivian app is too difficult.
They loose or delete service tickets, loose information and give bad advice. Enough to say never again should I buy a rivian

The deleted service ticket thing is infuriating - apparently they go to a central office before going to the SC - and recently they have started to delete them if an appointment is not made 'in time' - meaning its virtually impossible to log something as 'not important, but when its next in'.

I feel sorry for the SC staff, as they are now emailing me/or texting from their personal phones - as the async message system is down much.

While I wish I could communicate directly with people at my local service center. I have found the people on the app to be attentive and efficient at setting up my appointments. I’m sorry you’re having a bad experience. I don’t think of it as the norm.

This hasn't been my experience. In fact, I had to modify a service request this morning. I called the service number, explained what I needed (a windshield replacement and calibration) and within 5 minutes I received a confirmation from the Service Center that they can do the work this coming Monday. Pretty amazing service!

No issues w Rivian service. On more than 1 occasion, they've followed up, sometimes on weekends, to make sure everything was fine.

And they've never lost any documents.

Your experience may not be typical. I have had nothing but excellent service from the Colorado Springs Service Center as well as the mobile technician out of ABQ. The app has worked just fine for service requests.

This is like walking into Home Depot and shouting "I wont come back", and walking out again. 1 second after you leave, you are forgotten.

If you have an issue, take it up with Rivian and call them.

You lost me at calling. I will die before speaking to anyone on the phone unnecessarily.

And I mean that literally. I’d either text 911 or drive myself to the emergency room vs call and have to speak to a person.

also: I did once call Rivian. And the resulting ticket had maybe 15% of what I told the agent. And what was there only sort of represented what I had said to them. So typing it in would be far preferable.

I do with the automated system didn’t also suck at that.
