Add me to the long list of those unhappy with SSF service. In November I booked an appointment for Jan 9 for 3 items: (1) check for overcharged refrigerant; (2) leaking CV joint; and (3) leaking gear tunnel seal. Regional service call center told me mobile service was not an options but it would only be a few hours of work. I was pleasantly surprised and said oh I guess I'll wait at SSF. The rivian app was providing nagging reminders to be sure that I show up on time for my "appointment." I show up and am told it will be two weeks and they don't have Rivian loaners. I asked if they could just replace the tunnel seal while I was there, and the answer was, "no, a technician will need to diagnose the problem." Service receptionist half-apologized that the call center gave me incorrect information.
With the prospect of my gear tunnel flooding (it was raining day of appt) while sitting outside for two weeks and with no truck that I needed for a work trip, I gave up and left. It took me ten minutes to silicone the cut in the gear tunnel seal and cinch the CV boot clamp myself.
I might be less pissed if I hadn't driven 1.5 hours to get there.
If I had read the warnings posted here I would have been better prepared! This forum is a nice resource.
