Just curious if anyone knows how they're compensation is set up. I've always assumed commission was in play but from reading how many guides end up non-responsive this must not be the case.

They essentially do part of the underwriting and purchaser liaison. Think commission in the sense of a flat rate payment per "deal"; not your standard dealership commission paid to salesmen. It actually surprises me that the thought is they don't receive something for getting deals to close...No. What would they earn commission on? They don't sell anything.
