The slide out center console got me thinking that how useful it would be to have a kit that allows the rear floor cover (the panel that covers over the spare tire compartment) raised evenly with the forward cargo space ledge and slide out just past the lower tail gate. Right now, heavier items can be a bit of a pain to get past the lower gate onto the cargo floor.
One could use the built in tracks on both sides of the rear to anchor the sliding mechanism and attach to the edges of the floor cover, as an example.
Does something like this exist? I have the raiser to make the floor even and it was very useful when filling the cargo area. I think it would be super beneficial if we had something that can slide in and out easily over the lower tail gate.
