Does First Mile drive offer a clue to delivery date?

Greetings all. I was invited to schedule my first mile drive today for my R1S reservation and have now scheduled it. Here’s my question: does that invite portend a “sooner” delivery of your vehicle? Or is it totally independent of delivery date?
My current delivery date is slotted for Jan-June of 2024.

It is independent of the First mile drive. No real correlation to be inferred.

I agree there is no direct correlation, but I got invited to the R1T shop the day after completing my First mile drive. This was about 4 months before my configured vehicle was "predicted" to be available.

Just got mine too. I ordered 7/21 and keep getting bumped to your delivery window.

Too many variables to make any conclusions. Could mean sooner, could mean not.

At my first mile drive the rep said oh you’ll likely see your delivery soon. Which didn’t make sense based on my order date. Nearly a year later I should be getting the truck. So yea no correlation and if anything is said, I’d take it as them just being nice / wanting to get you excited; they would have no insight into your specific window.

In reality I had the same experience others noted. I had a first mile last May and still waiting for a truck. Should be very s00n though!

Not even a little bit. I put down my reservation in July 2022, got my first mile in August of 2022, never got an invitation to configure, canceled my reservation in Jan 2023 when I bought a used R1T.

There is no correlation between First Mile and Purchase... it's more of a location lottery.

Only connection, for me, was having the same employee (Allan) do the first mile and the home delivery.

My first mile driver said that he would almost definitely be my home delivery driver as well... but we didn't wait that long. I hope he's doing well because we had a great time on the first mile.
