Does R1T tailgate light bar light up when braking?

Does anyone know if the R1T light bar on the tailgate is supposed to light up when braking? If not then, when? While charging? Driving with lights on?

After further review, I do not think it lights up with braking….

Light bar is a light red when driving. It does not flash bright when braking.

It does pulse green when starting charging.

$50 says they're working on adding this feature. Apparently current federal regulations prohibit a brake light on a tailgate. But this would be supplemental to the non-moving lights at each end of the tailgate.
