Parked at the airport and same lady door dings two of the panel, anyone know if its a easy PDR and cost wise is it gonna break me for this little ding haha

Ugh - that really sucks and feels like it must have been intentional. Nobody does the same thing twice.

PDR should be able to pull them out - I had a nasty dent that happened while my wife was in the car on a call and the woman looked at it and started to walk away. My wife got out of the car and looked at the dent and then got the woman's insurance info - they ended up paying for the PDR.

Those should come out no problems with a good pdr guy. My guy would charge about $250

It's on a crease so a bit of a tougher PDR job, but I had worse and it came out 100% great. My shop said there was still a tiny bit of a ripple but I couldn't see it, and I honestly didn't want to look too hard.

Sometimes, I wish that rear quarter panel could be made from that Cybertruck stainless steel

If I'm parked in a tight spot, I'll put the truck in highest just to present more of the running boards to careless parkers.

Yah, the parking spaces at PDX are made for cars like a Honda fit, not full size pickups.

I find that to be true for all parking spaces except for Costco. Not sure why everyone cant follow that setup.

NB: perhaps cars have gotten bigger and the parking spots have stayed the same since 1980?!

I think the rear quarter panels on the R2 are a separate replaceable piece that will be easier to repair. Hopefully they do something like this on the Gen 3 R1s.

I've seen some real magic worked with PDR, even right across body mould lines. That said, like anything else, you'll likely get what you pay for.

When I was getting mine fixed, I definitely didn't take the lowest bid. I asked for pics of other Rivians they'd fixed, and the shop I went with was able to show before and after shots of similar damage they'd repaired on other Rivians. I was extremely pleased with the results! Still, it was far less expensive than what Precision Body and Pain(t) quoted me in Beaverton for a traditional non-PDR repair.

Probably best off you weren't there when it actually happened. With the complete disregard for your property shown by that woman... most people would have become very angry!
