Here is my story,
After getting the form email about a rental I decided to just get this done. I had been emailing my guide for over a month about the registration to receive only platitudes.
Three weeks ago I sent a copy of a letter I received from the WI DOT that the registration had been under funded. I was assured once again that this was being handled.
So literally the morning I got that form letter I drove promptly over to the DMV. They said my registration is in process and had only been issued $100 which was well short of the total. I promptly paid the remainder and was handed WI plates immediately.
In round numbers Rivian had charged ME $400 for title and license fees and the DMV had received $100 which was well short of the Approx $300 that was owed in TOTAL.
I will now deal with my guide to get a refund.
These are unforced errors that just create a negative experience.
When in doubt just go to the DMV.
