That is my fear, any fire starting anywhere near an EV will be called an EV fire cause it is an ez out.

I’m disappointed. I thought the civic was going to burst into flames and I was really hoping the ram truck would. I’m gonna wager those dudes did not give away anything.

Oddly a perfect example of this last night on a Los Angelos news station.

There was a carport fire in San Fernando Valley that burnt 4 cars and spread to an apartment. The news anchor speculated it may have been been started by an EV, anyone watching that newscast would have heard them and associated that fire with an EV.

This morning on a different channel they have a ring doorbell camera of someone riding up on a bike and starting the fire, not even an EV in that carport. Most people will probably not see the report of the actual cause and will continue thinking it was an EV starting it. ?
