External Hard Drive issue

SSD storage drive won’t pass speed test after formatting. It’s a new San Disk EXTREME portable SSD w1 T capacity. Am I doing something wrong?

Using it for “dash cam” video AND gear guard video. I know there’s an onboard hard drive but this provides more storage.

In preparation for my Model X delivery, I got a 1TB WD Black and a USB 3.2 USB-C enclosure for Steam games and Sentry videos. Since I cancelled my Model X order, I now use this drive for the Rivian. It's great.

For future reference...
After connecting a new/different drive to the Rivian USB port.. the vehicle runs the speed test then places a .txt file in the root of the hard drive with the results.
Connect that hard drive to a PC, open that .txt file and change the word "slow" to "ready".. then save the changes.. put the drive back in your Rivian and you'll be good to go and the drive will record perfectly

I did this for the speed issue, it worked, but doesn't record any drive videos.

Perhaps this is a silly question, but you do need to enable Drive Cam. Did you?
