@Rivian 🐀 deception at its best. This install clearly shows it's 100% doable for all VINs, just needs the wiring harness replaced. Hmmm, how did we figure that out again? 🤔
I'd suspect this is the harness that connects the buttons and not the cassette itself, no?

Same harness. Powered Tonneau version has additional PT button with tailgate drop, and the far end plugs into the PT. Depending on PT, may or may not need adaptor.

Just bought a used R1T from the Rivian website on a whim yesterday. Completely new to the EV world and have a lot to learn. Forums are the best for gaining knowledge. I’ve been lurking here wanting to get a tonneau cover. I have a hard cover on my Ridgeline And love it. We ski and it keeps our gear out of site and the element. I’m not sure but I think the tunnel might be a fit for the skis But not the boot bags. Has anyone ever fitted an aftermarket tonneau cover?

7 hours OMG $3,416.70 WOWZA?
Expensive yes. But compare it to an electric retractable fully installed on a half ton and I'm guessing it's competitive.

There are a few options out there but myself and many others recommend the Interrobang manual cover, Interrobang Manual Tonneau Cover for the Rivian R1T – Interrobang Automotive

Also, don't forget the frunk! It might work great for storing your bags and it's there without an extra expense.

I’d say get to know the truck for a few months and then see what you want to do to it.
I bought mine in 2023 but did most of my upgrades/mods this year. They have added up!
I’d say definitely figure out a phone charger that works better than stock. Anything else you can work out over time.

Loving finally having my PTC. I made do with a soft tonneau for a road trip this past summer.

With the EO Gear Slide I added and the PTC, I’m pretty much at the truck I wanted when I reserved one in 2021.

RIP explorer package lol.
