Firewood capacity: 1/4 cord

In case it helps someone, here’s what my 2022 R1T looks like with 1/4 cord of firewood loaded in it.

I built “wall” pieces at the edges because I thought it would be a little more full and had to travel on a highway for a bit. Was maybe unnecessary.

Side question, how is firewood measured? How did you know that was 1/4 cord?

A cord is measured by stacked volume, 4'×4'×8', or 128 ft³. The place I buy from has wooden frames pre-stacked to various volumes (with various combinations of hard or soft woods).

Their wood is cut to 16" (a little shorter than I'd like ?‍) and so their ¼ cord is 16" × 4' × 6' (which does work out to 32 ft³).
