It's minor, but I wanted to share. After almost 2 years of ownership, I've experienced the first odd glitch. Yesterday, while driving, I noticed that the garage door opener would display every time I came to a stop. Later, after I got home and plugged in the truck, it started charging outside of the 10pm-6am schedule. I manually stopped charging and went about my evening. I kept wondering if the truck would start charging per the schedule at 10pm, but I never made it up that late to check. When I woke this morning, I was surprised to see the truck didn't charge. My guess is the location is out of wack and why the truck started charging as soon as I plugged in at home and why the garage door opener function came up at every stop. I plan to do a soft reset tonight to see if that helps. It will be my first reset since owning the R1....that's impressive, considering I hear many people say they need to reset frequently. I'll report back if that fixes both issues.

Hope the reset fixes it! Mine has been extremely reliable as well. I did need to have the HV battery replaced after it showed a fault, but that was a surprisingly quick fix and that has been the only thing in just over a year.

Likely unrelated but oddly coincidental, the loaner I have started charging outside it's charge window yesterday as well. The schedule is set on my ChargePoint, which I don't think has ever done this before.

If it starts charging outside of your scheduled window, please go back to the nav screen and see if the cars GPS location is accurate. I'm currently experiencing this.

I think I had something similar happen recently. I cycled the charging schedule toggle and everything seems to be back to normal

I recently had the garage door openers disappear from my driver screen yet the one for may gate at another location was still showing on the driver screen. I did a soft rest and the GDO's came back to normal. We also have had good fortune with our R1T. We have had it for a year and a half with no issues. Recently, we got the 12 volt battery warning. We had mobile service come and replace it.

We had never done so much as a soft reset since we have had the truck. The Rivian mobile tech told us that soft resets are a good thing to get everything back in sync. He compared it to restarting your cell phone. He also told us that charging to 100% occasionally is a good thing to keep the system in sync. He further told us that manually closing the frunk lid once in a while is also a good thing to reset the frunk opening/closing mechanism.

When charging schedule and speed are set via the app, the schedule and speed only apply in a small geographical area -- a circle with maybe a 300-foot radius or 600-foot diameter..

Like much else in the app, a stray finger movement can make changes you didn't intend.

@Ecupip, consider checking if the circle in the "Schedule" function of the app actually encompasses the current location of the vehicle.

Best wishes!

We’re basically driving around in a computer …. Which I’m totally fine with. At least the Rivian design and finish are more like a regular truck vs our Model Y which 100% feels like youā€˜re driving a PC around.

An overnight sleep and turning off and on the charge timer didn’t help.

I’m happy to report a soft reset solved the problem. It was cool hearing the chime to keep holding the buttons to reset, and see the Rivian logo on the drivers screen.
