So on Saturday I did my usual clothes washing. And then into the dryer. As I was sitting at my PC
waiting for the dryer cycle to end, I get a car alarm on my phone. I know my R1S is parked in my
garage, so I just silence the alarm.
Later that day, as I get ready to head out for some light grocery shopping, I can't find my key Fob.
Searching the house, I come to the realization what the car alarm was all about. Sure enough, I
find the fob in my folded sweat pants in my closet. Tentatively, I take it to the garage, and against
all expectations, the Fob WORKED! Car woke up, doors, frunk, and back gate opened and closed
on command.
Whew, what a relief. I was not looking forward to buying a new Fob.
I am going to give it a few more days, and then I think I will switch out the battery, just to be safe.
