Found a workaround for the profile switching

Had an epiphany this morning, not sure if anyone else has done this so I figured i'd pass it along. My R1T is constantly switching to my wifes profile, like 90% of the time I get in the truck it switches to her profile when we're both in the truck. It's become a habit of her just getting in and hovering her hand over the profile button just waiting to hit it once it changes to her name as I'm walking around to get in.

Today I just removed her phone as a key (kept her key card under her name) and just assigned a new key with her phone under my account. So now she still has her own profile, but her phone is seen as me. Since I drive the majority of the time, she just has to hit her name in the UI to change to her seat setup much like she would do with the "1 2 3" buttons on a typical vehicle.

Simple, but effective change until Rivian permanently fixes the profile switching. I got tired of having my knees taken out everytime since I'm 6'6 and she's 5'0 so the changes in the seat are pretty destructive for me when i'm trying to get in.

Could she just force close the app on here phone when she doesn't intend to drive it? That way here phone wouldn't act as a key. Then if she want to use it and you are not there she would just open the app.

She could, but she also understandably doesn't want to have to remember force closing the app everytime she opens it because she does use it to open the trunk amongst other things to get stuff out of the truck, and also will start the AC before we get in it if it's been sitting and I forget to do it.

I just kept her profile and removed her phone, then logged into my account on her phone and once she was logged in it had a notice on the top of the app stating that her phone wasn't a key and to add it. The downside is she's logged in as me and so it says "Hi, Frostbit3" instead of her name, but she still has her own profile that's only linked to the key card so she can retain her seat and mirror setup should she drive it.
