Not sure why they changed it but back at this time the videos were a lot of CGI. Currently we don't even know if the production side lights can even do other colors. Wouldn't that be a fun christmas surprise.
You can’t change turn signal color because the govt has rules on that. Not sure why they changed it but back at this time the videos were a lot of CGI. Currently we don't even know if the production side lights can even do other colors. Wouldn't that be a fun christmas surprise.
I think they mean that we don’t know if the light bar can do government orange. You can’t change turn signal color because the govt has rules on that.
I was disappointed when the charge port moved from the right to the left. I thought the right side was a perfect spot if Rivian ever were able to use the super chargers…. and here we are… ??Lots of things changed from when it was a concept vehicle back in 2018. For example the charge port used to be on the passenger side front.
The question is - why does this matter? There are a near-infinite number of decisions made in getting this vehicle to production, from minor design changes, to materials changes, wiring changes, color changes, etc. - I'm sure there were reasons for making each and every one of them. And I'm sure you yourself might have made a different decision in some cases. But that doesn't mean what they ended up with wrong.
Things like turn signals are highly regulated, so it wouldn't surprise me to hear that what they tried first couldn't be certified as road-worthy. But for minor things like this we'll likely never know the story.
I totally agree with this. The right side of the vehicle made more sense for me. I have an ipace and it's charge port is also on the drivers side which I really don't like.I was disappointed when the charge port moved from the right to the left. Hey, you're the other person who bought an I-pace!I totally agree with this. The right side of the vehicle made more sense for me. I have an ipace and it's charge port is also on the drivers side which I really don't like.
