Marcin. This is from a short drive up Mt. Rose highway on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. We lovingly call this type of snow Sierra Cement.

Between the green bar and the black area where the charge port door would be if closed I think the door is open and the vehicle is charging in the pic.

Charge port door seems quite robust. the mechanism is a linear actuator of some sort, with the rotation coming from a cam path cut into the shaft the door itself is attached to. So it’s being pushed straight out with decent force. Enough to break through snow.

Hey Hopper. The snow that collected on the R1T was actually quite slushy and 10 minutes after I parked it in the garage it melted off.

You’re right James, it was not at all easy to see with the headlights covered that way. I actually pulled over on my way down the mountain to clear the headlights. I’m glad it was not a long trip.

Here is an updated photo with no snow, except in the driveway.

Reminds me of when the dishwasher had a fork preventing the seal from sealing. Our kitchen floor resembled this.
