With my long-awaited r1s just weeks away, I'm beginning to assemble my overland build. First up: fridge, mattress, and rockers.

Snagged a 20% discount this weekend at OverlandExpo for Dometic. Any Dometic owners? Any thoughts on best-fit, best overall frunk fridge? (DM if you want the disc. code)

Has anyone spec'd out the max hexahedron that fits the frunk?

Maybe wait to see if you have 12V in the frunk? Rivian has removed that and the under dash 12V for most new deliveries.
Yup. That’s pretty much the case right now.
However search the forums and there are threads showing how to wire up a 12v outlet in the frunk. The only question there is whether or not the wiring harness still has provisions to wire it up.

Could it be that overheating issues/risks was the reason it has been removed?

Dominic fridges are very high quality, so I think it would be fine except on super hot days. I have a bodega 36 L fridge that is a Amazon special. It can't keep things Frozen up there due to heat and lack of circulation but is fine keeping things in the low 30s, I think with the high quality fridge it probably would be fine.

Following along on this thread. We have a dometic 35 that fits awesome in the back behind the third row, but would love it to fit in the frunk instead.

any fridge in the frunk is going to less efficient (higher power usage)because of lack of ventilation, mine will go in bed once I get the cover which will have better ventilation

Hold on. Looking at the dimensions of the frunk I found, and the dimensions of the 35, I thought it would have plenty of room! Why is it not fitting?

Fits great, behind the third row but not a prayer it's going to fit in the frunk. Even if you take the false floor out to have full depth of the subfrunk, it's too wide to sit lower in the frunk and its way too tall with the false floor in place.

trust me it's not even close to fitting
