I noticed this recently and wondered if others look similar and if this is normal or if I need to add it to my list for my next service visit. Essentially the molding around the truck gaps out near the tailgate. Here are pictures of it butt-up against the side, but then it starts to gap near the tailgate.

My truck had an interesting Gap on the rear passenger side rear as you show. It almost seemed like it was rubbing against one of the body panels. The clips on the bottom were not fully seated. This was delivery back in July. I made a service appointment with some other issues and they apparently were able to take the bumper off and reinstall it.

Funny you should post this. Just today I was looking at the left hand lower side of my tailgate and I swear to you it has somehow come out of alignment with the other side. Seems like it's not as flush as it was. This can't be the case. I would have noticed this. Crazy. I swear it was flush a few days ago.
Interesting. Yea, it could be a clip like you mentioned. Also, this isn’t just the right. The left is the same way. Though the right side seems more flush in a spot. Hard to tell in a still picture. Easier to see when moving slightly. Here left and right. Left seems to have a tiny gap nearly the whole length.

The rear one looks pretty gappy the rear sides look pretty normal. I see that on my, and all the trucks at the Venice hub. Probably the mold is just not super precise
