Garage Opener Button on Steering Wheel/Driver Display - Poof!

It's gone! Soft reset, no bueno. Hard reset, no bueno. Like a poor fool in a third world country, I now have to reach all the way over to the infotainment screen and tap on the garage icon, then on my doors to open/shut.

Was the button too convenient or is my Rivian playing tricks on me?

Cycle it off and on again, then try re-adding your home location.

Happened to me, too. I went into my settings for the garage, deleted the location and reset that, and it came back. Something got borked with the recent OTA update.

This happened to me this weekend. To fix it, I went into the settings page, clicked to turn off the location-based proximity feature and then turned it back on. It then started working again. I didn't need to delete the home location or the garage doors.

Yeah, we still get the prompt at home, but also seem to get the prompt every time we slow to a stop right now. Seems to have manifested with the last firmware update. Hoping the next one takes care of it.

I bet your GPS has bonked, and it doesn't know your location. Are you getting an SOS error on the dash and/or does the elevation + compass still work on your data screen?

Your home location wouldn't happen to be an island in the Gulf of Guinea, would it?

Only time this happened for me I did an "edit" then "save" on my home location. Not changing anything, but just to reset it. I forget exactly how I did it, it's been months, no issues since.

Finally got it to work again.

Toggled location off.
left the house.
turned it back on.
drove back home and it was back.
