I thought the .47 was a huge step up from .43 but the more time I spend with it, I find the trebles and mids are still a touch muddy and the soundstage a touch centered. Still way better than before but still room for improvement

As soon as I picked up my 2025 Rivian I quickly realized there was no fixing the stock sound system.
Coming from a Tesla model S I was highly disappointed in the sound, even my Jeep Wrangler had a superior stock sound system.
I was a initially bit hesitant if there would be any issues but quickly dropped it off at a nearby audio shop and had all the speakers replaced with Focals, JL DSP AMP, JL SUB AMP with a 13” JL shallow mount sub along with a battery that all fits in the spare tire area.

Sound is now a 10, it now even makes me wonder what is wrong with my Tesla sound system which I used to think was amazing.

If you are unhappy with the sound it’s probably worth switching it out (it’s all integrated to the stock head unit), it completely transforms the vehicle.

Any install pics?

Would also be great to understand if there's a specific weak point in the stock system if anyone knows. Like did more improvement come from the aftermarket speakers or the amp. I don't really need anymore bass. But better clarity would be nice.

There isn’t too much to see as it all looks factory except for where the spare tire goes.

I think you need new speakers and a good DSP (Digital Signal Processing) amp and tune.

They also dynomatted everything and created a false floor that the amps sit under. You could always go with a smaller subwoofer. I have a small subwoofer adjustment wheel right next to the steering column.

The stock system is really muddy and unclear, I would rate it a 1 (completely unacceptable), now Clarity and sound is amazing.

Of course, Audio Dreams in La Verne. I would definitely go with them, they did a very professional install and definitely know what they are doing!
