Hi Folks,
I just wanted to give a major shoutout to Brian and the whole team at the Chelsea SC.
Had my Gen2 R1T delivered a few weeks ago. A few days later, wife went to close passenger door and it made a cracking sound. Realized the door was just barely catching on panel on front of truck and a bit of paint chipped off. Put in request, didn't hear after a few days so I called. Guy on phone told me a mobile appt wasn't feasible (probably) due to door and paint needing to happen. I told them I happen to be coming to Boston for work on 10/16-17 for about 24 hours. He got me an appointment, made it for a late drop off (takes nearly 4 hours for me to get down there), great communication.
When I arrived, Brian made sure someone drove the truck with me to see if we could feel a slight feedback I had been getting from pedal, and we chalked it up to early miles on the tires, didn't really seem present on my drive down either.
Truck door was adjusted and painted by end of day. They even dried out my carpet because my kid left the window open the other night and it rained.
Gave me $150 in Uber credits, which was easier for me because parking in Boston is awful.
Great communication the whole time. Really felt like everyone enjoyed working there and took pride in their jobs. The guy I drove with was former Tesla and while I am sure he is biased by his new employer, he was talking with me about how much better the build quality seems on the Rivian's he works on.
Just wanted to add this note here, seemed important to highlight given that I know other folks have very different experiences which might color the perspective of prospective buyers.
