Mine are definitely not dim.I don't know enough about them at this point. All I know is that they're incredibly dim. Maybe I'm missing a setting??
Rivian (like a lot of cars) has a feature where at night if it doesn't detect oncoming headlights or tail lights in front of you it will automatically turn on the high beams. you set this with the headlight switch (the back one) on the left stalk. But they occasionally kick into high beam.
Please forgive me if you already checked this. I see a lot of people driving at night with only daytime running lights on so I figured it was worth asking: Are you 100% sure that your headlights are on and you aren’t relying on just the daytime running lights or parking lights?I don't know enough about them at this point. Not mine. It was scary on my first night drive. I've since reached out to my guide. It's cool, it's fast, but I was fooling myself thinking that I'd get one w/o issues. The only way they could ever be considered dim is if they are off... I've had people complain they are too bright in broad daylight...
No, I'm not 100% sure. I've been super busy with work and haven't had time to really study it. Perhaps you can enlighten me? It's really weird because the lights are super dim, then they suddenly get really bright...but just for a few seconds, then they get dim again. Please forgive me if you already checked this. I don’t have a Rivian yet, so I don’t have personal experience. If you open the manual here https://assets.rivian.com/2md5qhoea...478360af8/r1t-owners-guide-en-us-20220725.pdfNo, I'm not 100% sure. You should snap a night pic of your front end while the car is on in your driveway. Sounds like you're just driving with your drl at night. Just takes a few finger flicks on the headlight stalk to cycle through all the lighting options. No, I'm not 100% sure. I've been super busy with work and haven't had time to really study it. LOL. I now know about the light settings and will have to mess with them. 1st world problem. Glad we have these forums for us to learn. All the lights are so bright in fact that I got my first complaint the other day that the rear fog lights were somewhat blinding to those driving behind you...something to keep in mind.
