Has anyone else that got the Dec 2023-Jan 2024 estimate followed by Processing Estimate get an actual date yet?

Can't recall exactly but my friend has a '23 Q4 estimate and got his on time. I had a 2024 estimate and got shop access in August and delivery in about 2 weeks. Hope that helps.

I'm in the same boat as a few others on this thread.... configured in October, Dec-Jan estimate, and now shop access for a few weeks.

When does the 8 step process begin and we get a more definitive delivery window (assuming waiting for our config)? Is it prior/after it's manufactured? How long is it typically from 8 step to delivery.... days, weeks, longer?

Not necessarily, I see several configs less than mine right now.

I'll share my recent experience. Keep in mind that I took delivery at the factory. TLDR: when you suddenly lose access to the R1 Shop, you've probably been "matched" to a specific VIN that has entered production (or is about to). Start watching for an email from Rivian titled "It's time to begin the purchase process."

My experience: Without warning, my access to the R1 Shop disappeared on 11/22. Otherwise, nothing else changed in my Rivian account until 11/29 when the online purchase process (8 steps) opened in my account. Separately, on the same day, I got a text from "Edward here from Rivian Normal" giving me the VIN and telling me exact delivery times that were available on 12/6. I replied to that text message to schedule the delivery.

Edited. Fair point. this is way better. Thats whats weird...i did pick, config and lock in a vehicle.

We reserved in July of last year and got the notice to config about a month ago. Sounds like there is no reason for us to hurry--based upon your experiences.
