We have Clipper Creek which has been rock solid. Looks like they got bought by enphase. Its nothing special but it just works and have not had an issue after two years.

My wife drives a ton for work so she uses that to charge the Lyriq on most days.

I tried the Lyriq level 1 charger yesterday with the adapter from Rivian on my r2 and it worked no problem. It got me about 33 miles charge in 12 hours which is fine because my commute is only 40 miles round trip.

Just a point of clarification.
My Polestar is set to 48 amps, and the Grizzl-e charger (EVSE) is set to 40 amps and all is good. When I get the R2, do I have to match its amps to 40?

The danger is that the car will try to pull 48 amps, and if it overloads your home's system, say during hot weather while the ac and hot tub are running, you could end up with a fire.The Grizzl-e might be capable of not allowing more amperage, but many chargers can be overwhelmed. They key is to ask the right people the right questions.

My r2 is defaults to 48 amps when its not plugged in. However, it changes to 32 amps when it detects my charger which is 32amps.

It doesn't work that way.

The EVSE tells the car what the maximum amperage available is. The car cannot try to pull 48 amps from a Grizzl-E set to max 40 amps.

@Thebandit is correct. Charging current is limited by either the EVSE or the vehicle. The EVSE cannot supply more than the vehicle accepts, and the vehicle cannot demand more than the EVSE is able to supply.

In the real world this means you can set the current limit on the EVSE, or the vehicle. The truck cannot pull 48 amps if the EVSE is only able to deliver 40, or 32, or less.

So don't worry. It's idiot proof.

People posting in this thread who have not read the thread and saying things that have already been covered earlier in the thread does not make anything better. In all cases, both the EVSE and car state their individual maximums, and agree on the highest possible.
