Hi all, I am considering ordering an R1S Tri or Quad, and am wondering how the service center is in the Twin Cities area. I have had 3 other EVs, but all were from a major manufacturer (no Teslas) and so have dealt with different levels of competence from those service departments. I am in western WI, so it is about a 50 minute drive for me to get there.

Three year owner here. I’ve found them very responsive and quick to complete work once it is in the shop. Getting an open appointment slot can take awhile but overall I’m very happy.

I’ve had no major issues in 3 years and 90,000 miles.

I agree with Budman. I have also had three years of experience with that service center. They have always been great to deal with. I live about 150 miles from the service center so they usually try to get me in and out in the same day. I just traded in for a 2025 Tri and there were a couple issues so I currently have a rental car. The communication has been good thru the process.

I have had good experiences with them.

My last experience in particular was very positive. They were upfront that service would take some time as my issue was something they hadn’t seen before and they wanted to put their best tech in it so it was going to be a day or two before they could even look at it. Turned out to be a hv battery issue that they replaced under warranty. They had the car for like 3 weeks ( they had to order the battery) but they gave me periodic updates and i had a loaner. Communication is good.

On a previous service one of the advisors volunteered to stay late so i could pick it up that night.

I’d give them a 9.5 out of 10. Only reason it wasnt a 10 is that it takes a month or so to get an appointment.

4 year owner with one of the first R1T's in minnesota. The wait times for service are worse than they used to be but the service staff are awesome. The last time we where there they didn't have a loner for us, but offered to drive us to a restaurant and pick us up after. They have been great since day one.

I had to go in to get my 12-volt replaced, and they did the ting washer recall at the same time. They offered me Uber credits, but I had a book so I just hung out. Service writers were friendly and we had a nice chat. I also had mobile service do my 15,000 miles tire rotation, and he was very friendly and did a good job.

One year owner, 175 miles from service center. Great service from Noe, 3 calls at my house. Proactively replaced 12v battery, rotated tires, 15000 mile checkup.

I have used them since 2023. Friendly and competent.

They do a great job overall. Wait times have risen, but we're about to get our 2nd service center in Eagan.

" A new 48,000-square-foot Rivian service center is opening on Columbia Drive in Eagan, MN, serving as a major hub for the Twin Cities area. The facility features eight vehicle lifts, 20 EV charging stations, and a showroom for test drives, catering to both personal vehicles and Amazon delivery fleets. It is scheduled to be fully operational by Spring 2026. "

Where did you find the information about Eagan? I can’t find it anywhere.

The Rivian employee that did my test drive also mentioned the Eagan location. They are also opening a showroom at the Galleria in Edina. I think both were aiming to be open late April.
