How many different RAN Stations have you visited?

Groveland is my favorite station (I also grew up there and trick or treated at what used to be the gas station there as a kid, so it is sentimental)

Groveland will definitely be on my travel list!
Is the old-fashioned Saloon with the swinging doors still active?
wanna visit just to experience the Western Saloon..

Charolette NC- 5 guys and a ton of Tesla chargers, nowhere to walk your dogs

Meadows of the Dan- ended up here late at night, purely by mistake hidden…. The whole town had boarded up behind some stores…. Creepy actually

Roanke- Mellow mushroom pizza

Augusta - another five guys and a supermarket but There’s enough room beside the road to walk your dogs without being hit

Front Royal- it’s in the mall area, but I don’t recall anything worth remembering

Hagerstown- Mission BBQ, worth stopping for by itself

Breezewood- is a truckstop with a Baskin-Robbins and an Arby’s in it and nowhere to walk your dogs

Where is home base?

I have been to:

-Newburgh NY
-CT on 91
-Hagerstown MD (Mission closed both times)
-Roanoke VA (Mushroom place was a good lunch while charging)

While my EA experiences have mostly not been terrible, RANs have been awesome. My first stop in Newburgh when it was only a few days old I had a failed charge that I don't know if it was that early on payment glitch or the chargers being new.

Hagerstown seemed the worst located to me, but they were all well located and I could not recommend RANs more. Roanoake in the summer on one of my two chargers was almost full!

So happy to see a charger is coming about 30 miles south of Gore Mountain in the ADKs.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, for the first time ever, I ran into a full house at the Greenville, SC RAN. With so many trucks/SUVs charging, I was only getting 50kwH, which really slowed down our trip. I ended up just charging enough to get me to the Charlotte station (which was fortunately empty) so I was able to get 200kwH+

On my towing road trip last year I stopped at 19 different RAN. Outside that trip, I've used 3 more, so "20+". (I almost stopped at a 20th on that long trip, but they had turned on billing, so I skipped it. I could make it home without it, it just meant a much longer charge at home.)

Note that since that trip, they have added more along the route I took, if I was taking it now, it would probably be ~25 RAN.

Just hit 20 recently with San Bernardino and Buttonwillow.
Also Truckee, Phoenix, Gila Bend, Barstow, Flagstaff, Sacramento, Bishop, Inyokern, Holbrook, Salida, Sedona, Quartzite, Kingman, Las Vegas, Olancha, Lee Vining, Groveland, and Grand Junction.

Love the RAN's! They work like a DCFC is supposed to work, in that they just work.

Also love the trailer pull-through stalls (although there are a few locations where they couldn't make that happen, or it says "Priority for tow vehicles" but the parking lot really isn't set up for it, so don't assume it's always there)

I will detour some insignificant distance just to use a RAN instead of any other type of DCFC.

Hey guys - I don't know where to put this, but any new intel on the Queensbury NY (ADK) charger? That is a primo location for my trips to Gore, right at a diner, and a five minute walk to Friendlys, which I don't think my middle school age kids remember.

I live in the middle of nowhere Georgia for the next two months, south of Macon. We’ve done some trips to Florida and my kids live in eastern Pennsylvania and outside of DC. The majority of my trips are up and down 95 and up and down 77. One of my best friends lives in Connecticut.

Only trip that ever really gave me anxiety was one time I decided to drive through West Virginia, which is a much shorter route to my home in Pittsburgh. West Virginia is truly a black hole for EV charging. I spent four or five hours at a car dealership charging off a level two charger in their parking lot, being harassed by the police who stopped by every half hour or so to just check to see what I was doing

However, I had a job interview in Indiana late last year and will be moving there in February.
