It's the EPA test cycle. Maximum speed is 60 mph and average is 48.3 for the highway test. Personally I think the tests are stupid and aren't realistic conditions. Supposed to take the average between those two tests and multiply by 0.70 to get the combined EPA rating.wonder if their highway test uses the actual speed limit on the highway. I know many interstates in IL have a 60mph limit for vehicles over 4 tons.
