Hey guys, 1 month into my Gen1 R1T ownership and loving it! I believe this is simply a Rivian software thing and nothing I can change but anyway. I live in upstate New York and find the heat settings a little odd. Every morning when I get back in my truck (usually wake it from the app to start climate), I have to go back in and turn on the front vents, heated steering, seat and change the recirculation. Just want to make sure there isn't a setting I can turn on or use that will just leave all those as is when I get out so they stay on the next time I wake it up.

I know I can do the seat and steering wheel from the app and usually do

Nope. About 4 updated ago they changed it. Used to be able to save vents to a profile. But it doesn't work anymore.

I’ve always had that issue on my Gen 1 when I start the climate controls from the app. However, if I turn on defrost instead of just the typical climate controls, it’ll re-open my vents and go back to my prior settings when I manually turn off defrost inside the car. Sometimes that still glitches but it works most of the time.

I've had the same issue with my R1T LE since a couple of updates ago. My fix - until they fix the software - is to tap the HVAC control and then tap a saved vent profile , A or B, which restores my vent settings. I still have to also tap the seat and steering wheel heaters first thing every day.

It's a silly thing they just need to fix in the software. Leave the vents how I had them last.

Agreed. Not a big deal, but seems funny to reset it every time. Maybe it’s an efficiency thing
