Yes, they have the same motors. Note that on the newer trucks, the performance option is not available with the standard (LFP) battery.Do DM and DMP share the same drive system and is the sw the only difference?
The lightning smokes the DM R1T? Damn, I thought the Lightning was slow.I have a Lightning and sport mode is a huge difference over normal. Smokes my DM R1T as well.
What other people consider a novelty, some believe a necessity. My truck lives in sport mode and I bought a tri-motor to trade it in for because of the speed. I use it all the time because it's fun.I have the dual performance. Is it faster? Yes. Do you need it? Nope. Standard mode is more than enough. And sport mode forces low suspension which ruins the ride. It makes it sort of a novelty item you show off to passengers. But the ride quality will smash your spine into dust.
Lightning is not slow; in standard or sport, if you punch it in sport, it throws you back in the seat. In my opinion, there is no comparison to the DMThe lightning smokes the DM R1T? Damn, I thought the Lightning was slow.
Wow, wouldn't have guessed. I'm sure my quad and new tri motor smoke it though.Lightning is not slow; in standard or sport, if you punch it in sport, it throws you back in the seat. In my opinion, there is no comparison to the DM
No doubt, I've ridden in a gen one quad, and it is impressive. Be interested in getting your feed back on the triWow, wouldn't have guessed. I'm sure my quad and new tri motor smoke it though.
You are not everyone. Your particular vehicle was not delivered to everyone.I've had no problems with either of those.
Fair point. Terrible pothole roads in Southern California make it difficult to enjoy the extra power without pulverizing my joints. I expect a gen2 would be better since they improved the ride quality. What other people consider a novelty, some believe a necessity. That sucks, I live in an area with pretty good roads but I am from an area with notoriously bad roads so I can understand your struggle.Fair point. I agree. People with problems post way more than people without, so I'm just pointing out that not everyone has a problem with their vehicle. You are not everyone. Your particular vehicle was not delivered to everyone.
They should also adjust the price for people with the AT package since that already comes with sand mode. Which means the performance pack if you've already paid for the AT package is basically just sport mode.I predict it will be offered slightly above the $5,000 price, along with a $250 “activation fee” to generate more profit and to help encourage new buyers get it with their initial order rather than waiting.
I also think they might offer periodic end of quarter upgrade deals that could knock off $1,000 or so.
I’d seriously consider it if it was around $2-$3K, but my regular Max is plenty of fun at the moment.
Yeah, the lightning isn't slow, but it is slower than the DM with the performance upgrade. The lightning smokes the DM R1T? Damn, I thought the Lightning was slow.
