They did not monetize this holiday freebie, why do you automatically go to the worst outcome? The fact that there are RGB interior accent lights that owners are unable to control seems to foreshadow a pay to play / subscription feature. Not a fan of this approach to monetizing features
Me too. So Rivian - stop adding features people like only to take them away. Put back the halloween features including the wolf and owl, and let people decide which features they use.I'm so tired of this cancel culture bullshit.
It'd be neat to see what an elk would do to an R1 it thinks is a competing bullI am in Montana for much of the rutting season...I'd definitely turn the sound on for bugling elk mode haha
If you put a quarter in the air vents does it turn halloween mode back on?The fact that there are RGB interior accent lights that owners are unable to control seems to foreshadow a pay to play / subscription feature. Not a fan of this approach to monetizing features
Shoulda bought a Lightening(sic) instead of an R1T.If you put a quarter in the air vents does it turn halloween mode back on?
It's a fun thing for one day, lighten up.
There will almost certainly be monetized features in the future, but for things like connectivity or advanced driver assist features. Things either have reoccurring cost to them or add liability. The fact that there are RGB interior accent lights that owners are unable to control seems to foreshadow a pay to play / subscription feature. Yeah... I really don't think that this is gonna be the model. Maybe I'm naive but I don't think that this is Rivian's game plan. I feel like part of the reason they are avoiding Apple car Play is to avoid that pay as you go type ecosystem. Nobody want this to be like BMW where you have to pay a monthly subscription fee to enable your seat warmers. But I could be completely wrong...The fact that there are RGB interior accent lights that owners are unable to control seems to foreshadow a pay to play / subscription feature. Hey Rivian, If you're listening, please give us the option of the owl hooting vs the bird chirping. We like it much better.
