Almost every Tesla owner has a CCS to Tesla adaptor.

I do find that charging spots in the most inconvenient spots by traditional measurement, are the most convenient for me (ie actually available.
I think you mean Tesla to J1772 for level 2

For DCFC I have a Tesla to CCS, but had to get it from tesla korea. Until the last month or two Tesla did sell it in the U.S. Most people didn't trust the third party Tesla to CCS. Many Tesla's can't charge on CCS with a parts upgrade.

A lot of this behavior is probably subconscious. Humans are weirdos about possessing scarce resources. The only value to Volta chargers at Whole Foods was to get their EV curious customer base to buy in.

Ironically, but the time the working poor get used EVs the free charging will probably be gone. For people who need to alter their spending at the end of the month due to running out of money, chasing down a bit of free fuel may make sense.

We can't make the conclusion that people are protecting a scarce resource for why they take longer to back out of a spot when someone is waiting for it. I can only speak for me, but what goes though my head when someone is waiting for my spot is "are they really waiting for me? Will they try to go around me? Do they even see me backing out or are they just playing on their phone". The extra time it takes me until I'm convinced that they are actually waiting for me could be the extra they saw.

I also tend to go faster when the other person has a nice car, at least equivalent to mine, because I operate under the assumption that they don't want to get in an accident as much as I don't and I can be more sure that they will be watching what they are doing. The guy in the rusted out shit box doesn't care if he gets one more dent. I apply the same theory with parking. I try to only park next to similar vehicles because I assume those people don't want to ding up their door edge as much as they don't want to dent my door and vice versa.

Thanks, correct, I meant J1772 like the Voltas use.

I stopped by the store yesterday for five minutes to pick up a few items and thought I'd plug in for a little free charging. I was surprised to see a Tesla taking up one of the two spots with charging, but noticed it wasn't plugged in. I guess I got "Tesla'd". Still unplugged when I left...

No idea how long it'd been there when I arrived, but there was plenty of open parking within 50 feet.

Thinking that Volta might need to change their tagline to "Charging For Some".

Not thoughtful of them. We have a Tesla Model 3 and avoid that blocking....not cool

Or you could be this R1S that has been at this SJC airport charger for at least 2 days in the hourly lot. Anyone claiming it ;) .

(I guess it’s possible they park in the same spot and lot and work at the airport… but thats not as fun a story).
