I have a rivian home charger and the charge speed is fixed at 18 amps. I have my default charge speed set to 48, and I have a 60 amp breaker on my circuit. I've tried everything including hard computer reset and resetting the charger and still the charge speed '+' sign is grayed out. If I decrease the charge speed to 16 or 14 I cant increase it again. The + button is permanently grayed out. Rivian already sent me a "remote reset" but still it's gray out. Help!

That sounds like the EVSE itself (the "home charger") is at fault. If the vehicle won't let you increase, it's because it thinks the EVSE is telling it that's its maximum.

Which unit do you have? If it's the actual Rivian branded wall unit, check its settings in the Rivian phone app.

It's the rivian branded wall charger. The app doesn't allow you to change any settings. It only shows you how many amps its currently pulling

What's strange is that the Rivian EVSE doesn't have a setting for 18A. It allows you to set 16A and 20A with the dip switches (page 21):

It could still be the EVSE at fault. Not sure if Rivian also limits current if it senses voltage droop, but Tesla does.

If you haven't already, try unplugging and plugging back in to allow it to renegotiate the max current. I would also check whether you can charge elsewhere with more power, either with the mobile connector on a 30A or higher receptacle, or at a public L2 charging station. If the truck is also limiting charging speed elsewhere, the problem lies with the onboard charger.

As said by Beatle above, try a public level 2 charger.

Sometimes the vehicle will over report the available current up to the next setting. It seems like it rounds up by two. Perhaps what it detects as 16.1A, will only pull 16.1A, but it doesn't have that granularity in the selection or display.

But, OP should be able to unplug and adjust the current then all the way up to 48A. If you aren't allowed adjustments up when unplugged, then there is definitely an issue somewhere.

I would check the dip switches, then if they are correct call Rivian and they will push an update to the charger, had the same issue.

This right here from @eskudo12791 - dip switches and call support there are known glitches with the Riv wall charger where it “locks” into a lower amperage mode.

Yea Dip switches are fine. I have another rivian charger at my 2nd home and it works just fine at 48amps. I've already had rivian push an update/reset as well
