I'm INterested ... if you could fore sure map the door locks! Getting my toddler in and out when my wife wants the doors unlocked has added some MOMENTS to my life!

Also would prefer a mount that doesnt block vents, and not in the power mat/ area... already swapped for a mag charger

EDIT: Would be amazing if a dial was somehow able to control the front passenger seat moving forward and backward... because of my silly oversized rear facing car seat

I’m In. Door lock/unlock (especially when sitting in the car at questionable charging locations), temp dial sounds nice, and i’d love to be able to hit one button and put it in camp/blackout mode for lighting.

Looks like a copy of the popular S3XY Buttons for Tesla… but not as well designed.

While I do think and have argued that Rivian should have physical controls for functions needed while driving (i.e., temp control, vent movement, etc.), I am “not in” on what you show. It needs to be more seamlessly integrated, not a bolt-on, and $125 is way too expensive. My two cents….

$125 is just for the buttons, but they are useless without the controller. You’d also have to pay $400 for the controller and $3/mo for it to work.

I suppose I am an EV purist, or else my Teslas taught me well about what a great EV should be, or all of the above, which for me means no effing way, no clutter ever of detestable, horrible, passe, so deplorable, so despicable ICE-age buttons and knobs. Not buikt-in, much less an add-on. Not ever.

Nothing but mostly a display and a couple of stalks. A nice clean and clear dash completely devoid of these knob absurdity dinosaurs. No need to search for features in display nested menus, either. So very thankful for also having voice commands to replace hideous knobs and buttons. It's the 21st century, for god's sake!

That CTRL Bar looks very nice.

Is is possible to do CarPlay, but as an overlay only between the top and bottom menu bars? This would require quite a bit more advanced coding since you're blending two video feeds and touch interfaces, but would allow direct access to HVAC, seat heaters, etc. Would also make it seem a bit more integrated.
This would be two different things. The CarPlay/Android Auto functionality is EV Play. The buttons would be a standalone product in the beginning, but integrated with EV Play eventually. Separate UIs for now, with the goal of bringing more of the vehicle features in to the EV Play experience. Similar to Car Play Ultra...not vice versa.

Let's have a race when this comes out. You tell Alexa to turn up the heat, turn down the fan, set the vents in the front, middle, and rear...then set the preferred ride height and close the garage door. I can push one button to do that and it will be done by the time Alexa has told you for the 4th time "I can't help you with that" after asking her to turn up the heat.

What would be cool is automatic settings on vehicle startup such as turn off auto ride height, stability or drive mode. I'm sure winter people would love snow mode that would stick.

Huh? This is literally the opposite of the truth. EV Play and the buttons are standalone products, and neither requires the other to work. The buttons will be integrated with EV Play in the future, sure, but again, only as an add-on.
