In my Rivian, the cheapest feeling interior part is the door pull. I assume all four doors share the same issue but I only ever use the driver’s door. It is a little loose, I can hear it squeak, and is just very cheap feeling. Every time I grab it to close my door I think - there HAS to be a way to improve this…

So my question is, is there any known fix to solidify this piece?

Mine feels solid. You might want to start a ticket with Rivian service.

Wondering if I need to. I’ll check the other doors. But I’ve seen multiple online video reviews complaining about the same thing so just assumed it was “standard”.

We have have our R1T for almost a year and a half. The inside door handles are all tight and solid.

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! That grab handle is huge quality miss for Rivian, and it's my biggest gripe since day one. It's something you touch every day, and it's absolutely not commensurate to price point of the vehicle.

Mine is squeaky as well. On all doors! Literally touch it every time I get in and out of the car. I saw EVbase has a storage box for that area and I wonder if installing that would make it more solid.

Mine is also squeaky - I don't think it was when I got it. Anyone successfully had this addressed by the SC?

It’s my favorite most solid part of the truck gen 2 will never know, something is wrong with yours is my guess, or they changed suppliers or something that makes some vins with diff parts / quality

Following this thread. Mine feel terrible as well. Hoping there’s an updated version.

Yeah the thing is there are multiple third party online video reviews that call this out on Gen 1, so while it may be inconsistent (like a lot of things Rivian), I don’t think I’m alone.

Glad to hear Gen 2 is improved!

No, gen 2 has no door handles inside they have a push button electronic release so they’ll never know the joy of the handle that I get

I think with how many problems you have seen that they must have changed them somewhere in the build lineup I’m vin 11xxx on a r1t, what is your vin

2024 R1S. Everything else is actually built better than the 2022/2023 R1S/R1T loaners I’ve gotten.

Also you’re confusing the medal “handle” that opens the door inside with what I’m talking about - the door pull grab handle that you would use to close the door. The Gen2 still has that.

My 2024 R1T's (VIN 32k-ish) door pulls are rock solid, and the metal handles (which gen 2 lacks) are also functional without squeaking. Hopefully can be easily fixed, since they are 'high touch' parts. Good luck!
