I get the clicking of the brake pads sliding inside the calipers l, especially noticeable when going forward/reverse in a multi point parking situation. But it's a soft clicking and sounds just like any performance BBK. Still annoying as hell because my gas pedal is applying the brakes for me when I don't want them to.

Mine has this. In fact, I had a ticket in for an unrelated issue with the accelerator pedal and the fix for the pedal was to put in the half shaft washers. Unsurprisingly my pedal still has the original issue and now I’ve got a pronounced clunk from the front wheels, especially if I do something like a California stop. It feels like a bad control arm or excessive backlash in the driveline. Working on putting in another ticket now.

Just had my fronts redone with newer washers…Not hopeful it will last but mobile tech said he would put in an engineering ticket for new hubs and half shafts if it comes back. My understanding is that Rivian has a contract with the hub manufacturer and can’t be broken just yet so the washer treatment is the band aid. If dual motor has none of these issues I’m moving to that…with the new subframe and altered suspension seems that might be the way to go. I couldn’t care less about .5 seconds slower than quads.
Did the washer fix the problem ? I had the washers and subframe done and it was fixed for awhile but now it’s come back. Put in a service ticket. Hope they replace the hubs and axles

i had the tick/click in the front suspension as my first service ticket after a couple of months of ownership. when i got the invoice back the correction they gave was "Noise Vibration and Harshness General Diagnostic". when i asked what was fixed they said they found some bolts were not torqued to spec. when i read NVH i thought it might be the damper but it wasnt.

it actually fixed the issue so i thought i was good. and i was until about a month ago when the noise came back. im not 100% sure its the same noise though but it makes the sounds under similar conditions: slowing down or speeding up, no friction brake, loud tick/click sounds.

i have the cast subframe so wouldnt think its that. i could be loose bolts again, maybe the damper? maybe i need washers? maybe the halfshaft/spline? hub? seems like the same area has multiple possibilities causing the noise.

i have service appt coming up in a month.

No, it’s didn’t. I did get new hubs and shafts a while back and this helped eliminate some noises and ticks. I still get an occasional clunk when starting out if vehicle is facing downhill…if no pressure on shaft starting out it is smooth and just feel brake hold release. It is tolerances in early motors I guess causing the noises now.
