And people like you are the reason we have 15 pages of stupid warnings and caution labels on everything. If you don't know you shouldn't sit or stand on a large piece of roof glass, that's ridiculous.Where is it documented that the glass roof wasn't made to be sat on? Or leaned on? Or touched? What is the limit of reasonable expectation here? Couldn't find that anywhere in the owner's guide. It is documented that you shouldn't pour hot water in cold weather but I don't see anything about load expectations for glass surfaces.
Clearly the best way to remove snow from the roof is putting it in sport mode and testing that 0-60I would be careful in removing significant snow in a balanced manner, instead of clearing off one side then the other side, I’d try to balance it out so one side didn’t weigh more than the other side
best result would be achieved with the cabin kept warm, such that there is a film of water under the snow. Adequate acceleration should see the snow passing above the bed entirely.Clearly the best way to remove snow from the roof is putting it in sport mode and testing that 0-60
Then hope the tonneau cover is up to the challenge lol.
Those labels can save lives, in this case it might save a costly glass roof repair. Nobody forces you to read them. And people like you are the reason we have 15 pages of stupid warnings and caution labels on everything. Do we need a "do not sit on hood" warning too so you don't dent your hood? Do we need a "do not drive your Rivian into the Ocean" warning and declare it's not a boat?
Infinity...
This is why I try to avoid driving behind tractor-trailers after a big snow around here. There’s always a giant sheet of snow or ice waiting to fly off onto my truck when I least expect it.best result would be achieved with the cabin kept warm, such that there is a film of water under the snow. I wish more people were ticketed for not removing snow. This is why I try to avoid driving behind tractor-trailers after a big snow around here. There’s always a giant sheet of snow or ice waiting to fly off onto my truck when I least expect it.
Been there, done that. Have multiple t-shirts.This is why I try to avoid driving behind tractor-trailers after a big snow around here. There’s always a giant sheet of snow or ice waiting to fly off onto my truck when I least expect it.
Some of them were even relatively cute. You being serious? You've had this happen?
“Fuyao” indeed.
I saw that documentary…this is not going to be good for us.
I had one car get a replacement windshield, which was a Fuyao - no OEM glass in town and I needed it same day. It was the worst quality windshield I’ve ever seen. Noticeable distortion, got pitted super quickly.I saw that documentary…this is not going to be good for us.
Hoping that they switch to PPG or Pilkington or whatever…. Or that rivian’s supplier requirements are very stringent. if the supplier is meeting Rivian’s requirements then maybe it’s fine.So then, if Fuyao is OEP for us, ‘the hell does THAT leave us??![]()
