The 18" height is the death of this product for me, besides the propane cooktop. iKamper had a box style cooktop for a while and they said it didn't sell at all. The Air Cruiser Concept is better executed, but again, 18" kills it IMO. The same reason why I won't by the ecoflow fridge with the ice maker. I really want it, but it doesn't fit under the Tonneau.
Thanks for the feedback, it would need to be 16" to fit under, is that right? If so then you can just slot it in on its side, it would be fine like that :)

This looks cool, I was just looking at buying a teardrop trailer specifically for the galley. I have some concerns based on the videos from the kickstarter page.

The legs don't look adjustable once they are unfolded. Most campsites I've been to don't have a perfectly flat surface, so placing a cooking appliance on something that wobbles is not a great experience. Is there anyway to level or adjust each leg so that it's more level?

They mention it's made with space-grade aluminum, but looking at the video there were some spots where it looks like it was flexing (like when they were installing the faucet or closing the lid with the handle).

I mean it's neat, but this seems like just a stand/case for a tabletop butane stove ($30), a collapsible camp sink ($20), and a camp faucet ($100?). I'm having a hard time justifying a $400 early bird Kickstarter price for this. Maybe I'm missing something?
The KC is very sturdy on uneven ground, you can also fold them away and use the KC flat on the ground, with he smaller style built in legs.

I'm sure you a buy everything separately but the build quality and the convenience that the KC offers, for a couple of hundred $'s is well well worth it, it's an amazing bit of kit. It's hard to get across just how cool it is, it works superbly well.

You are correct it is 17" to the underside of the tonneau. The height of the unit was the first thing I looked for as well. I guess you could lay it on its back as it's only 16" deep but IDK.
Yeah, you'd just slide it in on its back and it would fit perfectly. The unit is very robust and would be fine stored like that.

I definitely do not want to be using precious electricity while camping, and in fact have set up my generator to be able to charge just in case (requires special wiring for EVSE). I have this and love the versatility. My generator also runs from propane, and my trailer has a large supply of propane (many times the energy of the whole truck battery). For tent camping I carry a generic normal propane bottle.

That's right. Putting it on the side would make everything in the utensil slots move around though right? Do you have any plans to come out with an induction cooktop version?

I do really like the Aircruiser RTT I bought last year btw! Although I am selling it... we just didn't use it NEARLY as much as I thought we would (three times in a year) so it isn't worth the aero hit since we don't have a place to store it.

Your question is missing part. The kind of trips can be from no-pressure overnights near chargers, to a place that's remote enough to have a ton of warnings about self-sufficiency and the fact that you will NOT get a rescue nor have any cell coverage and nearly no humans. The West has vast territory with no services. When it cools off I want to go around here, and will need to manage power carefully for a few days far from anything.

Haha oops. Do you have a Max pack? Sounds like you're ideal for that. Charge to 100% at the nearest charger and go have fun. I've gone to an RV park and charged up overnight which has been pretty cool actually. Lots of RVers were impressed.

Great question. I have a 2022 Quad LE; the compromise on max battery versus quad was tough. I neither regret my choice nor am I sure it was the best. Both were compromises. But this is one of the reasons why I decided that my hate for liquid fuels would be over-ridden by practicality, plus I already owned the generator from long before I got an EV.

Here's an interesting video. Looks like microwave cooking is very efficient. Most things only require about 100 Wh so even a small set of solar panels can keep you going forever.

Definitely, except it tastes like ass for most anything you cook. Reheating, sure, but cooking... More nauseating than...a Cyber Truck.
